The Fond du Lac County Association for Retarded Children, Inc. was incorporated in 1963 to promote the general welfare of children with mental retardation. The name of the corporation has evolved to our current name,

Throughout our history the corporation’s basic purpose remains the same.

The Arc boasts over 125 employees and 300 members.
The Arc annually provides:
- Over 9400 days of individualized housing
- 365,430 hours of day service, community integration or independent living support to adults with developmental disabilities
- Serves over 245 individuals through Social Development and Special Olympics
- Arc Park Learning Center provides over 110,000 hours of child care, Preschool,
4-K, and before/after school programs
- Associated Pediatric Therapists serve over 50 children each month with occupational therapy, speech therapy, or physical therapy needs
